-
What injection moulding machine sizes do you have?
Our published plant list includes injection moulding machines ranging from 22 to 980 tonnes of clamping force. Machine suitability also depends on the mould dimensions, material and shot weight required for the component.
-
Do you offer contract trade moulding?
Yes. Osprey offers contract trade moulding in the UK. We have invested in machinery and automation to expand our production capabilities. Contact us to discuss your tooling, production requirements and current capacity.
-

-
Which plastic materials do you work with?
We process a wide range of thermoplastics and welcome enquiries about both virgin and recycled materials. Recycled material currently accounts for 50% of our material throughput. Contact us with your material requirements so we can confirm suitability for your project.
-
What order quantities can you accommodate?
We have no minimum order quantity and welcome requests for quotation for all production volumes, including smaller runs. Contact us with your required quantity and project details.
-
What are your typical lead times?
Lead times vary from project to project. As a general guide, we can produce initial trial mouldings, known as T1 samples, around eight weeks after approval of the tool drawings. Bulk manufacture can follow shortly afterwards if those samples are acceptable. Contact us to discuss timings for your specific project.
-
Can customers transfer existing mould tools to Osprey?
Yes. We welcome enquiries about transferring existing mould tools to Osprey. If a tool has already been used successfully by another injection moulder, there is a good chance we can accommodate it. Contact us with the tool details so we can assess its suitability.
-
What should customers provide to get a quotation?
The more information you can provide, the better. Useful details include drawings or CAD files, samples, material requirements, order quantities and required delivery dates. If you only have an initial idea, we can work with that too, so you do not need a complete specification to start a conversation.
-
What dimensional tolerances can you achieve?
Achievable tolerances depend on the component design, material and condition of the mould tool. Keeping tooling properly serviced helps us maintain consistent dimensions within the tolerances achievable for the material. Please highlight any critical dimensions so we can discuss your specific requirements.
-
What quality checks and documentation can you provide?
Osprey is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and we follow the quality management requirements needed to maintain that certification.
